Dustpuppy, I would LOVE to see some concrete evidence for this. if you can come up with any that we'll all die in a split second some random time and for some random reason caused by some random event.

Ah, Hume's causality. Very clever Primus.

However Hume would argue that the sun has yet to change into a muffin or whatever since the dawn of existance, and so therefore on probability alone it is reasonable to assume that it won't happen tomorrow either.

We can NEVER be 100% sure of anything ever, only that we ourselves exist (Cogito ergo sum)

We work on probabilities to find necessary truths. You've never turned into a cow before, but that doesn't mean its impossible. However because it's never happened before we can assume with a high degree of certainty that this won't happen today, tomorrow or 20 years from now.

In the beginning their was energy.
It was in the form of a plasmatic.
Eventually so much of its mass built up that it caused bipolar particals.
And then it discharged flinging energy out into the cosmo's.
Matter itself consists of energy alone.
No matter is anything but a condensed or current form of this energy.
But if all matter is energy a I think it is.
Maybe I could turn the sun back into a cow like on wensday.

Probability is never 100%, like you said. Theres such a thing in math as a repeating decimal, one that goes on forever. It will always get more precise, bigger if you want to call it that, but it will never hit that next number. Most things have a 99.999... percent chance of happening. The sun turning into a bran muffin, for example.

The world doesn't revolve around me specifically, you'd have to be really really really fat until you are almost the size of a planet to acheive that.

Oh dear, now we'll get "Become really fat so the moon revolves around you" files on the voting page.

Mind you, I'd still vote that over astral projection or whatever the hell it is.

You would actually have to be larger than a planet by a long shot to have a planet orbit you.

Especially as the density of the average human being a lot less than the average lump of Earth.

I can't imagine why you would prefer a file which makes you fat enough to make the moon revolve around you over a file that enables you to travel throughout the astral world unfettered by the constraints of space and time.

Well, if I understand Michael Talbot's "The Holographic Universe" correctly, everyone contains the entirety of reality; therefore, everyone IS all of reality, therefore the world DOES revolve around each of us, and we revolve around ourselves in turn. Everything is one.

Or, as Douglas Adams had it, everything can be extrapolated from a piece of fairy cake. (Which is interesting, since "Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" came out about ten years before "The Holographic Universe".)
