Very tense during hypnosis

Postby matthewj » September 25th, 2014, 8:37 am

I've been listening to the Bubble Induction for approximately 8-9 days, and for the first week, everything was fine. However, I felt incredibly stressed and tense and couldn't keep myself in trance yesterday. I could today, but relaxing was a borderline Herculean effort for me and I felt like a bundle of nerves the whole time. Does anyone have any advice on this?

If I was a beginner I would put some distance between the stress maker and doing self hypnosis. Don't do it while sleepy either. Doing something stressful and then hypnosis usually doesn't work too well like you said. Id do something that takes your mind off the stress for the moment and then try hypnosis. If its too stressful like your job or something similar that just wrecks your whole day, then maybe try hypnosis before you do the stressful stuff if its that distracting. Ultimately, you should not view hypnosis as something that will fix everything in your life but as something to try out and go for the ride.

I do it after I wake up in the morning, before anything stressful begins. I started listening to the Bubble induction because a forum topic said I should listen to it for 3 weeks for practice. My job doesn't stress me out; my feet get sore, but that's about it. I'm fine with the commands to obey, and wholeheartedly embrace them.

Cyril you can use audacity to remove or add anything you like. Matthewj I would suggest keep listening until you know what exactly is bothering you and if it continues then perhaps a custom file would do you better than one that's meant for everyone in general. I myself could only start to relax when the files I made for myself had tons of phrases that targeted specific things like my back, choosing a staircase or the beach, less headaches, better sleep, the file will improve your day and refresh you from the day already spent, etc. Its a on going process, that targets anything I want really. I use audacity with tts voices. Also, I learn a lot about audacity editing.
