After browsing the Success Stories forum, I came across a post, which stated that the person had successfully managed to tranform themselves into a cat.

I got to thinking, what is it here that changes? Your perspective, or the world? A jerk into a Matrix-like situation is also a delemma. Because you know that the outside machine world exsists, you know it there, and you are aware. Before, you didn't know about it, and you didn't know what it felt like cause you didn't know there was a feeling. Its like when you forget someones name who you know well. Try to think back just 2 seconds, and you'll find that you can't remember what it felt like to have temporary amnesia. Wadda you all think? (I'm not really asking a question here, just anything generally on this topic)

This reminds me of the old saying "The world is what you make it.", and makes me think of the other saying, "It exists because you believe it does."

I'm really fond of this one:

"There are three things you are:
What you think you are;
What others think you are;
And what you really are."

OK, ok, I'm just rambling.

Well there is a general one. If a large number of people believe in it, then it exists, because of the power put behind it. The only problem is a hundred million people have been wrong. They have been right too.

What I believe is that we define how we see the world, what is sight, but just electro-chemical signals to the brain, and that's the same for all the senses. Anything you see and fell is defined by your brain. The only reason the color blue is called blue, is because we named it that, and except it as a whole that. So what is to say we are seeing what's is really there, and not what we want it to be. One other thing is that we only see, hear, and feel on a limited level, so what might we not be seeing, or what might most be missing and the rare abnormal people be seeing? In summery, what I perceive, may not be what you perceive, but we just call that the same thing.

No theres definately four ..
We did this is in a class I attended recently.
Its called the Johari Window..named after Joe Luft and Harry Ingram
1) Open free public self(what u know and others know about you)
2)The blind self (what others know about you that you arent aware of)
3)The hidden self(the private stuff you know others do not)
4)The unknown self(neither you nor anyone else knows this stuff about you)
The more we reveal of ourselves to others through taking risks and asking for feedback on how they view us, the larger the open free area of ourselves becomes.
Reducing the size of the other three areas.....

Perhaps my fourth point is the stuff in the future that no one knows about me yet, not even myself.
Or perhaps its stuff ive forgotten from childhood.
Or perhaps its generic and its in my genes ..
Its stuff ive always known that hasnt yet revealed itself to me??(Or any one else for that matter!!) :wink:

Whichever way you look at it~ I think that we are both right / Its just a different way of seeing something.??!
I never expected it to start a debate and quite frankly if everyone thought about things the same way it would be a very boring world to live in... :wink:
By the way I agreed with your points, thanks for breaking them down into little portions so I could understand better....... :twisted:

Always expect to start a debate if you post something thought provoking. :D It's human nature. And the more you make people think, the more they, in turn, will want to share their thoughts. My thanks to you for giving me something to think about. :)
