I've read a few articles and books about people under hypnosis redirecting bloodflow to reduce bleeding and swelling during operations, and also to produce an anesthetic effect (which I did using an email slave trigger with a willing subject), so I believe that if the subject were willing to practice enough with the help of a hypnotic trigger, then I don't see why it shouldn't be possible for at least some people.

I think it can cause changes over time, but only if you're dedicated to the change.
